TIL that South Korea now has the world’s lowest fertility rate at 1.12 kids per woman (or 0.72 per person).
For comparison, it was 5.2 back in 1950.
Japan’s rate is higher at about 1.2 per person, but still low.
Experts say South Korea’s population could shrink by half in 50 years, which is a huge issue when people are living longer but having fewer kids 📉

I’ve been trying this lately too—avoiding my phone first thing in the morning, especially emails, news, or social media.
I’ve noticed that if I check those early, I feel overwhelmed and lose motivation.
But if I start my day without it, I’m way more focused and productive.
I think it’s connected to dopamine—when you spike it with all that info, it crashes later, and so does your motivation to do stuff 🤔
